This drawing is completed in charcoal with a few white conte highlights added. A lot of pet portraits are quite posed so it was a challenge to try something different. Such a close up really tests your skills of proportion and understanding of shade and tone. This is one of a series of my drawings showing pets drawn in charcoal and featuring specific facial features. The aim is to draw the viewer into the surreal beauty of our beloved pets. The original drawing is mounted in a white acid free mount with a grey backboard. It is shipped flat in an all board envelope protected with Corri Cor hardboard.
